Internships

Internships are an investment in the future rather than a here-and-now moneyspinner. Although many internships pay a small stipend—and the operative word here is "small"—the real benefit comes after graduation, when you go toe-to-toe with the rest of the entry-level labor pool in a fight for the best jobs. Any kind of experience gives you a leg up, and direct experience in the industry gives you a double boost.

The best way to find an internship is to make a list of companies you'd like to work for, then go to their web sites and see whether they have internships listed on their careers page.
